yea i started with dos, berkley, cpm, and vax vms.
most of everything i learnt in the 80s is well forgotton now.
this whole server is a perfect example of bad practices. if ever i get a storage i can hold all the files on i will get another server and redo it all virtual. its half half right now wich leads to many issues. also the disks are thrown together with a mix of raid 5 and lvm jbod. fstab hates anything going tits up.

it would be good to have a kind soul mirror the server
