1,4-butanediol
(1,4-B, BDO, Butylene glycol)

LAW IMAGES CHEMISTRY

CAUTION : As with GHB, 1,4-butanediol's dose/response curve is similar to that of alcohol :
If you exceed your dose, it is possible to fall unconscious and be temporarily
unable to be awakened (coma). It may also dangerously depress breathing.
AVOID MIXING WITH ALCOHOL.

Erowid strongly recommends that all liquid 1,4-butanediol be colored with blue food coloring.
This serves a dual purpose of reducing the chance that it will be mistaken for water, which though unlikely,
does happen...as well as reducing the possibility that it can be added to a drink without someone's knowledge.
