Version 1.0

For normal installation, run INSTALL.EXE off the CD disc from
the Windows Program Manager, then double click on the CD Physics
icon to run the program. You will need about 900 Kbytes of free
space on the hard disk.

For an installation which copies all the animation files to the
hard drive for quicker running of the animations, check the
"Copy Animations to Hard Drive" checkbox on the install dialog.
You will need about 32 Mbytes of free space on the hard disk.Click on
the CD Physics/Quick icon to run the program.

If you have Adobe Type Manager (ATM) installed on your
system you must turn it OFF for the best display of mathematical
symbols in CD Physics. Double-click the ATM icon in the Program
Manager to access its control panel.

The palette flashing prior to beginning the animations is an
artifact from Macromind Director and is normal.

The Auto-Tile and Auto-Close modes default to OFF. Turn them
ON if you desire by using the Special menu.

Finally, if you wish hard copy output of any screen in this
program, you may copy it to the clipboard as with any Windows
screen (simply press Print Screen), then paste it into a document
using Paintbrush. Just switch to Paintbrush using ALT + TAB, then
paste from the Edit menu. You may have better results in Paintbrush
if you Zoom out with the Paintbrush View menu first, then paste.
Next, click anywhere on the tool bar at the left, then Zoom in, again
with the View menu. Paintbrush will then allow you to print the image
in the normal manner using its File menu.

Version 1.1

Some minor punctuation errors are corrected and the use of
"Frequency Order" for searching, and the "Full-text search" on the
glossary link menus is explained in the help files.

Hyperlinks from the Info menu material are corrected so spurious
characters do not appear in certain window titles.

In version 1.0, if the animation files are not copied to the hard
drive during installation, the highlighting, notes, and session bookmark
(i.e. the bookmark which remembers where you were when you exited the
program) do not get stored properly. This is fixed, with a new explanation
in the help files. The notes and highlighting data file is now stored
in the "C:\" directory if the animations are not copied to the hard
drive. (Otherwise it will be found in the install directory.)
