PI4TUE

At this moment PI4TUE is the test server at the Technical University of Eindhoven, hosted by the Maxwell Foundation.

The server is scanning.

PI4TUE.jpg

The server is unning a
ICOM-756 transceiver with 25 Watts output into a dipole at 40 m height.
The transceiver was sponsored for the project by the Maxwell Foundation. Normally the server is run headless (no monitor of keyboard connected), and remote controlled via the internet.

SM0RWO

SM0RWO winter season
SM0RWO winter season

My radio cabin to the right houses an Icom IC-706MK2G and a pskmail server (an old P3-500 running ubuntu). Hf antenna is a 12 meter flagpole with an Icom AH-4 ATU at the bottom (with lots of radials under the snow). The server uses a patch antenna for 802.11g (wlan) link to the main house where 100 Mbps fiber is used to access internet.

The server log is available here:
SM0RWO server log

PA0SON

PA0SON is running a Ten Tec OMNI VI+, output power is 25 Watts into a dipole at 12 meters height.
At the moment we are testing 40m NVIS on 7038.0 kHz.

W8FT

W8FT (run by N8ET) is now in the test mode running an FT-100D at about 10 watts to an inverted vee at 75'. I hope to set it up in scan mode shortly covering 30/40/80 meters.

VE7SUN

VE7SUN is running a Yaesu FT-847 to a Butternut vertical antenna. Power output is 50 Watts. It runs on 10.148Mhz 24 hours a day. You can check the the station location using your APRS program or findu.com. If you have any questions please email me at ve7cus@mac.com.

N5ALE

N5ALE is up and running 24/7 [except for maintaince and uupgrades ] I am scanning on the frequencies in the list at the top of the page. My station is an Icom 756 using an autotuner and a 30 foot mast for an antenna. Power out is about 25 watts. My location is southeast Texas EM20UG. If you have any questions you can post to the list server or email me direst at n5ale at arrl.net

WB5CON (NOTE: Server currently down until rig is repaired from lightning strike - 26 July 2008)

WB5CON is running 24/7. Rig is a Kenwood TS-440SAT running 30 watts to a 30/17 meter trap dipole up 40 feet. The radio is set on 10.147 so the center of the server is 10.148. The server is a Dell Pentium 4 machine running Ubuntu 8.10. It is run headless and administered using VNC. The station is in northeast Mississippi, EM54rw. You can look at my server log to help with your testing at http://wb5con.homedns.org/gmfsk.php

VK2ETA

VK2ETA is located in Sydney. Currently running an FT-857 at 50W in a G5RV up 18 feet. The radio is scanning on 30,40 and 80M on the center frequencies above (for VFO, add/substract 1000Hz depending on LSB/USB usage).

This should give a good coverage along the East of Australia up to probably Brisbane as per my previous tests. The server is running 24/7 but I sometimes have QRM from nearby (and my own) LCD/Plasma TVs at S8 or S9. So if you do not get a connection in the evening, try a little later, or better, during the day.

KB2SDR

      • KB2SDR is currently in transition to Richmond, VA. It is currently unknown when there will be a server running from his new QTH. Any questions please contact him at the email located below.*

KB2SDR is located in Iron Lightning, SD, on the Cheyenne Indian Reservation. The server is running 24/7 on 10.148. The Rig is an Icom 737a running 40w into a Vertical antenna. Any questions please direct40 meter band plan them to kb2sdrjay@gmail.com

KD5WDQ

KD5WDQ is located in New Braunfels, Tx. (EL09), and running FT-897 - 30w into a screwdriver
antenna. The Server is loaded with Fedora Cora 8, and is a P3 800mhz, with a standby system
(ready to go) that is a P3 550mhz. My intent is to service the Austin/San Antonio Tx. and nearby
areas. Running on 10.148mhz, 24/7, PSK250. email: kd5wdq -at- gmail.com.

KD4QCL

KD4QCL is located in Alexandria, VA. (FM18kr) about 12 miles south of Washington D.C., and running an ICOM 718 at about 20w into a double bazooka. My Server is running Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron), fldigi 2.10.3, and PSKmail 0.7.14. For testing, the server is set to scan mode. I plan to leave the server online for testing except when I am using the radio for other things. You can contact me at KD4QCL-at-gmail.com to be added to the servers email list.

KL7NA

KL7NA is located in Walla Walla, in the south eastern corner of Washington State, and runs a Kenwood TS-850SAT into either a 4 element monoband yagi (on 20 meters) or a 110 foot center fed wire (on the other frequencies). The antennas are both at 100 feet. I plan to leave the server online for testing, etc. when I'm not using the station for other things. You can contact me at kl7na at arrr dot net. I will be out of town from July 18 to August 30, hopefully connecting to this server from the road.

DK4XI

DK4XI Rolf Behnke is located in Hornbach south west Germany. I am Net-Control from
INTERMAR e.V. , the german maritim mobil service Net. www.intermar-ev.de
I am HAM Radio Amateur since 1963. EME, VHF and Weather Service on 14.313kHz for Sailors.

Several hams have shown interest in setting up a test server...

Try the installation guide for the software.

This is the place to announce availability, test schedules etc...!!

Remote server operation

A nice way to operate a server remotely is via vnc (Xrealvnc), PA0R uses it to control the servers at PI4TUE and PA0SON-4.
