When I think
of the PLA, I think of...
"Being 15 and furiously pranking
AT&T operators with Venom in the freezing cold at 2am."
-El_Gordo_Uno
"That big cactus falling on that brown El Camino."
-TheModMadder
"Lots of babes frequenting the PLA site and the PLA forum
site looking for some hot phreaker ass." -Atomical
"Sitting at a payphone for hours hand-scanning toll-free
conf. lines and setting up various scans with Darkk_Inferno."
-Colonel Fubster
"Red boxing to talk to random people from the BBS like
HEXED at 3 in the AM with IDLR." -dimebagkyle
"A bunch of people running at me at HOPE5 to grab PLA Media
CD's." -murd0c
"Dumpster diving and biege boxing late at night with a
buddy I don't really talk to anymore ... I'm going to give him
a call." -Zeroknowledge
"A radio controlled hot air baloon that programmed to
harass operators by screaming "PLA" at them." -MrBungle
"Me, and liife killing ourselves hand in hand, because our
liives have degraded into shit." -h-d

What are you
waiting for? Hurry up and buy a damn PLA Media CD. Now they
have snazzy jewel case inserts with them. You get hundreds of
prank calls in mp3 format, not to mention all the videos,
pictures, text files, cursors, icons, etc. Best of all, RBCP
uses the profits to buy crack cocaine for himself and his
friends. Click here

OMG
HOPE!@$%$#$@!!
 Big-E, RTF, Judas
Iscariot, Murd0c and
I-baLL "It happened, it ruled and we came out
victorious." are the words murd0c used to describe the outcome
of PLA's 10th anniversary panel at this year's HOPE convention
in New York City. Several hundred people gathered to watch the
PLA's performance on Friday night which is an incredibly good
turnout, especially since they were up against the pirate
radio panel.
PLA t-shirts were given away, PLA's history was discussed,
the videos and sound clips were played and afterwards a small
riot started as people tried to get their hands on the PLA
Media CDs. To top it all off, Angela Gunn wrote an
article about Hope in USA Today and called the PLA "a crew
funnier than anything yet seen on the likes of Crank Yankers."
Phonelosers.org would like to thank everyone involved with
the PLA Panel. It started out as just a little idea in the
forums but it turned out to be a really awesome event. RTF
said, "Just think what we could do next time around if we put
in more than a few emails and 15 minutes' worth of planning
into it." Hopefully we'll get to see an even bigger and better
sequel to PLA's Hope panel in a couple of years!

TANNEST
Welcome to the psychotic world of
Samantha Dahl, also known by the PLA as Tannest. Back in 1997
Tannest was the ringleader in the Boulder News
Forum craziness and sometime during all that nonsense, she
became hated by most everyone associated with the PLA. For
years she tried in vain to bring down the PLA site. WARNING:
You get to see BOOBS on this page! Proceed with caution. You
are warned.
NEW PLA
T-SHIRTS AVAILABLE
We've designed a new t-shirt,
mainly so that the people running the PLA Panel at HOPE would
have something PLAish to wear. This t-shirt is temporarily
available for you to purchase! I've only printed 36 of these
shirts and there is no guarantee that I'll be printing anymore
of them. On the front is a familiar-looking logo and the back
lists PLA "tour dates" from the past decade. You can click on
the t-shirt to view both sides and to order a shirt for
yourself. Order it quick, you may not have another chance! If
you send in money and they're all gone already, we will mail
your payment back and probably give you a few stickers out of
pity.

DO YOU
REMEMBER THE UNITED PHONE LOSERS?
Once upon a time a guy named linear
decided to steal stuff from PLA issues and turn them into a
new zine called the United Phone Losers. RBCP said, "Neat!"
and gave linear the domain phonelosers.net to do anything he
wanted with. Now the tables have turned - the PLA is stealing
all of the UPL's material and putting it on our site. Take
THAT, linear! Click on the scary dancing UPL girl for a
complete archives of all the HTMLized UPL issues.
Radio and TV
Shows A lot of
radio and TV hackerish-type shows have been popping up in
recent years, some even worth listening to or watching. Most
of these shows have archived their episodes and they can
sometimes be very entertaining. Take some time today to
discover some new shows that you like. They can be a nice
replacement for the radio and TV that you're used to. Here's a
list of shows you might be interested in. If you'd like to
submit your own show archive to us, then do it.
PLA'S EMAIL
LIST
Remember the good old days
of the PLA Email List? Well, we've decided to try and bring it
back. It's been inactive for a year or so, ever since Yahoo
killed it. This is our attempt to make it active again. So click
here and join the email list immediately.
WEBMASTER,
PLEASE!
Read the short story of the
troubles caused by our FruitWall script and a guy who posted a
lot of slanderous material on it. This is mostly just the
exchange of a few emails with a short story written around
them.
DINO
AND HIS CORDLESS PHONE
Recently a popular website
linked to a few of our pages, including the old Dino Allsman
PLA issue. This motivated me to spice up the Dino issue a bit
by changing the layout, adding some graphics, fixing my bad
grammer/spelling and adding quite a few updates to the page. I
also put the old Dino sound clips back up, which I took down
at the end of 2000 when it looked like Dino was going to hunt
me down and either kill me or sue me. I ended up talking to a
good friend of mine about Dino and it turns out that she knew
Dino's wife and had a little bit of information on Dino for
me. So that's included on the page as well. So take a look,
there's lots of good stuff on our Dino page
now!
